APIs that rely on scaffolding to get you started with the basics in their documentation seem to not really teach me anything. If I'm trying to integrate an API into an existing project it's not very helpful to get a bunch of commands for how to generate a project.

And even if I'm starting from scratch it's not attractive to get a lot of code I don't understand (because the docs don't explain it) dumped on my lap.

Seems more useful for those who are already familiar with the API.
